Fire Post-Sales Technical Specialist 3

Overview

Design Fire Alarm Systems for customer and account-specific standards, building codes and NFPA 72, delivering projects independently through the full lifecycle with quality and on-time delivery.

What you'll do

• Independently execute projects throughout the lifecycle.
• Design the Fire Alarm System per local codes and standards.
• Review MEP drawings, tender specifications and similar documents to identify Fire Alarm requirements.
• Complete input studies using the input checklist and raise RFIs.
• Prepare Fire Alarm layouts and engineering BOM.
• Ensure quality assurance and defect-free Fire Alarm drawings delivery.
• Adhere to all processes and guidelines to execute projects within timeline.

What you'll need

• BE in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Electronics & Communication.
• 4-10 years of experience in the relevant field.
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication.
• Strong domain knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems.
• Ability to independently carry out Hardware Detail Design, Engineering and Application Development, Battery Calculations, Voltage Drop Calculations, etc.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72, IBC and relevant codes and standards.
• Hands-on AutoCAD (ACAD) experience.
• Understanding of tender documents and specifications.
• Experience designing Fire Alarm Systems to IBC, NBC, NFPA 72, etc.
• Must be a quick learner.

• Simplex product knowledge.
• NICET Level I and II certification.
• Simplex product certification.
• Experience with products from Simplex, Notifier, Siemens, EST, etc.
