Overview
Build and maintain user-friendly online applications as a Front-End Software Development Engineer II. You will develop web features at scale, collaborate with UX design and backend teams, and help shape payment technology.
What you'll do
- Develop UI features using modern web technologies.
- Write reusable, testable and efficient code.
- Collaborate with UX design and backend teams to implement and maintain features.
- Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
- Review and validate AI-generated code with the same rigor as hand-written code before submitting it for peer review, checking correctness, security, and adherence to team patterns.
- Work with a cross-shore development team.
- Influence and collaborate to create an amazing online experience.
- Participate in agile sprints with cross-functional teams, including planning, daily standups, backlog grooming sessions and reviews.
- Analyze production defects, troubleshoot systems, identify root cause, and implement fixes.
- Work with third party vendors to develop software and/or integrate their software into products.
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
What you'll need
- 4+ years of experience to build amazing web applications using ReactJS, HTML, CSS, JS and more.
- Hands-on Cypress E2E experience.
- Hands-on, sustained experience using at least one AI coding assistant, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent, in real project work, not just casual/trial use.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree and a minimum of 2 to 4 years of web application development experience, or, in lieu of degree, 4 years of professional web application development experience.
Nice to have
- Experience building responsive web applications using ReactJS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience working on an agile development team.
- Experience building React component libraries and using dependency management tools like NPM.
- Experience with continuous integration environments like Jenkins.
- Experience building and deploying applications.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks and UI test cases in a Test-driven development (TDD) environment.
- Working knowledge of implementing Accessibility (ADA) and Analytics requirements.
- Working experience with Micro Frontend Architecture.
- Familiarity with AI-native concepts at a working level, including RAG patterns, vector databases, and MCP (Model Context Protocol).
