Full Stack Lead Engineer

Overview

Full Stack Lead Engineer responsible for building and leading an autonomous, high-performing engineering squad. The role focuses on hands-on Python (FastAPI) backend development while coordinating full-stack solutions with frontend teams.

What you'll do

• Lead a squad of software engineers through code reviews, architectural guidance, pair programming, and mentoring.
• Build production-quality Python code and design high-performance REST APIs.
• Own backend architecture decisions for scalable, robust systems using Python and data/cache/queue components.
• Drive AWS technical strategy for security, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Coordinate integrated solutions with frontend, DevOps, and Product teams for API integration.
• Plan squad deliverables, drive Agile ceremonies, and foster team autonomy and continuous improvement.

What you'll need

• Expert-level Python proficiency (9+ years), including async programming and backend best practices.
• Hands-on FastAPI experience building high-performance REST APIs, including dependency injection and async operations.
• Experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript for full-stack integration.
• Hands-on experience deploying systems on AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, etc.).
• Experience leading technical teams with strong backend engineering practices and processes.
• Strong testing discipline (unit, integration, and end-to-end) with a TDD mindset.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/container orchestration.
