Overview
Senior Python Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and integrate enterprise cloud services, leading and mentoring engineering work in an Engineering team.
What you'll do
- Design and implement resilient services, APIs, and UIs using Python (FastAPI/Django/Flask) and modern front-end stacks (TypeScript/React).
- Build cloud programmability using Azure and AWS SDKs, event-driven designs, serverless functions, and service APIs.
- Develop infrastructure as code with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitLab) for deployable environments.
- Apply performance, scalability, and reliability practices including profiling, caching, async I/O, and observability instrumentation.
- Follow secure SDLC practices including threat modeling, secure coding, secret management, dependency hygiene, and code reviews.
- Define quality engineering practices (DoR/DoD) and implement automated tests (unit, integration, performance, security).
- Produce technical documentation and architecture artifacts (including C4 model diagrams) and communicate status, risks, and trade-offs.
What you'll need
- Minimum 6 years of experience in enterprise software development and cloud development.
- Experience with FastAPI/Django, React/TypeScript, and GraphQL.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures (SNS/SQS, Azure Service Bus), streaming (Kafka/Kinesis), and pub/sub patterns.
- Exposure to AI/ML services and safe LLM integration patterns (e.g., Azure OpenAI).
- Experience contributing to shared Terraform modules and internal design standards.
- Experience with CI/CD and automated deployments (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins or similar tools).
- Strong experience with design patterns and SOLID principles for cloud resiliency in an agile environment (e.g., Scrum/SaFE).

- Work mode: Hybrid (in-person with Wolters Kluwer colleagues at least 8 days per month).
- Location: Chennai, Neville Towers (IND).
- Travel: occasional domestic and international travel.
