Overview
Senior Software Engineer focused on data analytics and application development, designing and delivering end-to-end analytics and custom application solutions.
What you'll do
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business and engineering requirements into scalable solutions.
- Design and develop analytics solutions including dashboards, web portals, applications, APIs, and automation tools.
- Build and enhance data pipelines, backend services, frontend experiences, and visualization solutions.
- Own solutions end-to-end from design and development through testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.
- Apply GenAI/LLMs and AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality and security.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to manage priorities and communicate risks and progress.
- Provide technical guidance, conduct code/design reviews, mentor engineers, and identify improvement opportunities.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of relevant proven experience in software engineering/data engineering/analytics application development.
- Strong hands-on SQL expertise for scalable analytical solutions.
- Strong hands-on Python expertise for building scalable analytical solutions.
- Experience with Redshift, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or similar data warehouse/database platforms.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including S3, Lambda, Glue, API Gateway, CloudFront, ECS, or equivalents.
- Experience with web/application development including APIs and frontend technologies such as React/Angular, HTML, and CSS.
- Working experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, and production-grade development practices.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including turning ambiguous needs into working solutions.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of Machine Learning, Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI-enabled analytics.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, or GitHub Copilot.
- Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, or LLM-based analytics/application use cases.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, production support, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.
- Experience driving modernization/redesign of existing applications/analytics solutions.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers, influencing technical direction, and contributing to technical roadmaps.
