Engineering Lead (AI & Automation Products)

Overview

Engineering Lead for AI & Automation Products, building and leading production-grade software and LLM integrations.

What you'll do

• Lead engineering efforts including code review, mentoring, and growth planning.
• Design and build production APIs in Python (e.g., FastAPI/Flask) and full-stack apps with React + Tailwind CSS.
• Integrate LLM APIs into production systems, including prompt design and structured output parsing.
• Implement tool-use/function-calling patterns with tool schemas, argument validation, chaining, and basic failure/retry handling.
• Apply context engineering practices such as context window management and long-document handling.
• Integrate third-party platform APIs using OAuth and manage production credentials securely.
• Partner across distributed US (onshore) and India (offshore) teams using strong communication.

What you'll need

• 12–16 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep Python expertise.
• Experience leading/managing engineers (code review, mentoring, growth planning).
• Production API development in Python and full-stack React + Tailwind CSS experience.
• Relational database experience; Postgres preferred.
• AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) with agentic coding patterns and context management.
• Experience with QA/data quality engineering and AI evaluation (e.g., regression evals, structured-output checks, observability).

• Overlap hours with US Eastern Time required.
