Principal Software Engineer - Full Stack - Java, AVP

Overview

Lead full-stack design, development, architecture and implementation for scalable, high-quality platform solutions across UI and backend components as part of the UI Framework team.

What you'll do

• Lead complex full-stack design, development, architectural and implementation decisions, ensuring performant, high-quality and scalable software delivery.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to create simple and sustainable software architectures and solutions for complex problems.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for escalated issues.
• Review code and ensure adherence to architectural and coding standards.
• Mentor engineers through technical leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement in team development practices.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality software via test automation, assisting with manual testing as required.
• Engage in the agile software development process by adhering to and advancing the CRD scrum methodology, including attending all daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with global teams on platform initiatives.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with React and Java.
• Experience designing distributed systems.
• Experience leveraging AI tools as part of routine development and work activities.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to have

• C# experience is a bonus.
• Experience in financial services is a plus.
