Principal Software Engineer

Overview

Principal Software Engineer in Identity Security, serving as the technical authority for core SSO and federation capabilities.

What you'll do

• Own architectural integrity, security posture, and scalability for SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and OIDC.
• Write secure, performance-optimized code for critical authentication paths and build PoCs.
• Architect resilient, low-latency microservices for large-scale token validations and authentication flows.
• Drive modernizations including backend framework upgrades and secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead root-cause analysis for critical bugs in multi-tenant SSO, token encryption/signing, and token lifecycles.
• Partner with data science to integrate AI/ML into authentication flows for real-time risk scoring.
• Review complex protocol implementations and cryptographic designs for RFC compliance.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with Tech Lead or Principal Engineer track record.
• Experience with C#/.NET OR Java OR Python, and willingness to work with C#/.NET.
• Exposure or strong interest in applying AI/ML in cybersecurity contexts.
• Strong background in cloud-native architectures, distributed microservices, and secure-by-design.
• Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) architectures for SAML 2.0 SSO and OAuth 2.0/OIDC authorization servers.
