Principal Engineer Software (Backend)

Overview

Lead backend engineering teams developing and growing cloud security and security operations platforms, including Prisma Cloud and Cortex Cloud.

What you'll do

• Develop backend features through design, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with peers across geographies and disciplines to shape solutions.
• Integrate components with other parts of the product.
• Conduct code and design reviews.
• Contribute to technical and architectural decisions.
• Provide real-time mitigation and solutions for production issues.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Hands-on programming experience in Go, Java, and/or Python.
• Experience developing scalable server-side applications.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience with microservices architecture and technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, or serverless platforms.
• Experience with big-data architectures, distributed computing, and SQL/NoSQL databases.

Nice to have

• Experience in an agile and dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity, information security, or software security.

• Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
• Work from the office full time for most teams.
