Sr Consulting/Principal Software Engineer - A&E

Overview

Senior/Principal Consulting Software Engineer, acting as a subject-matter expert who sets architectural standards and provides senior technical leadership across complex software and architecture work.

What you'll do

• Perform reviews to ensure enterprise and architectural standards and processes are followed.
• Write advanced complex code and serve as a senior source of expertise.
• Manage system and user acceptance testing cycles to ensure quality business solutions.
• Lead development of technical standards and perform related reviews.
• Serve as primary technical point of contact for external technology resources.
• Mentor engineers and recommend technical strategy and direction across a functional area.
• Consult with stakeholders on work-arounds during system outages.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• BS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
• Specialized coding skills and knowledge of large complex systems.
• Expertise in data modeling, design and manipulation, optimization, tuning, and best practices.
• Knowledge of architectural principles and development best practices.
• Software development process expertise in relevant methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Expert-level test-driven development knowledge and maintenance best practices.
