Principal Software Engineer

Overview

Principal Software Engineer designing and delivering software systems architecture, development methodologies, and technical leadership for complex software projects.

What you'll do

• Develop organization-wide architectures and methodologies for software system design and development across platforms.
• Evaluate new technologies and innovations aligned to a technology roadmap and business value, including integration/update plans.
• Review and assess designs and project activities for compliance with development guidelines and standards.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to less-experienced staff in software systems design and development.
• Influence decisions of executive business leadership and partners using domain expertise and business acumen.

What you'll need

• Typically 15+ years of experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Desirable experience in L3 Networking datapath (IPv4, IPV6, MPLS, SDN).
• Experience designing and developing software design tools and languages.
• Expertise in C, C++ and Go.
• History of innovation with multiple patents or deployed solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and local language.

Details

• Hybrid role with an average requirement to work 2 days per week from an HPE office.
• Location: Bengaluru, Karnātaka, India.
