Staff Software Engineer - Developer Productivity

Overview

Staff Software Engineer to lead developer productivity initiatives on the Platform Ops (Platform Engineering) team.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end initiatives to improve developer tooling, environments, and operational workflows.
• Design and operate internal tooling/services using Python and/or Go.
• Build reusable platform tooling and self-service workflows for developer teams.
• Add automation and enable developer workflows across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Develop AI-based workflows to improve productivity and infrastructure operations.
• Improve observability (metrics/logs/traces) to strengthen developer feedback loops and diagnose failures.
• Set success metrics, document rollout plans, and measure outcomes from deployments.

What you'll need

• Strong experience building and operating production services in Python and/or Go.
• Experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with core cloud primitives including IAM, networking, and compute.
• Experience building developer productivity tooling (CI systems, build tooling, developer portals, workflow automation).
• Track record leading ambiguous, cross-team technical projects to completion.
• Strong communication skills and engineering judgment.
