Staff Software Engineer

Overview

Lead the architecture, development, and production delivery of generative AI solutions, providing technical direction and mentorship across engineering teams.

What you'll do

• Design GenAI architectures, including LLM agent orchestration, RAG pipelines, prompt frameworks, and fine-tuning workflows.
• Build and operationalize GenAI solutions in Python using LLMs, LangChain, embeddings, vector stores, and RAG pipelines.
• Lead cross-team alignment and adoption of AI use cases.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and lead micro-teams or pods.
• Establish testing, documentation, CI/CD, security, monitoring, and observability practices.
• Lead Agile ceremonies and manage delivery through Jira and CI/CD tools.
• Apply responsible AI principles covering privacy, fairness, safety, and security.

What you'll need

• At least 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 8+ years of relevant experience.
• 7+ years of software development experience, including hands-on AI/ML or GenAI work.
• Advanced Python proficiency and experience with GenAI frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI, or OpenAI-compatible APIs.
• Experience designing LLM, agent, NLP, or RAG systems.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP and deploying AI solutions at scale.
• Experience with vector databases or similar embedding and semantic-search technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• 2–3 years building applications with LLMs or related technologies.
• Experience with AI agents supporting multi-step reasoning or tool use.
• Familiarity with Java, containerization, and microservices architectures.
• Master’s degree or PhD in AI/ML or a related specialization.
