Overview
Senior/Staff Applied Research Software Engineer to build and prototype emerging-technology solutions for Twilio’s incubation team.
What you'll do
- Develop, test, and deploy code for prototypes and new product features.
- Design, develop, and implement prototypes and production-ready solutions.
- Collaborate with teams to solve technical challenges and improve solution design.
- Experiment with modern tools, frameworks, AI, and machine learning technologies.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Communicate progress and technical concepts to stakeholders and peers.
- Adapt to evolving requirements and provide input on process improvements.
What you'll need
- At least 3+ years of professional software development (Senior level; ideally full stack).
- At least 5+ years of professional full stack software development (Staff level).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (JavaScript, Python, or Java).
- Experience with front-end (React, Angular) and/or back-end (Node.js, Springboot) technologies.
- Understanding of database fundamentals (SQL or NoSQL).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use an agentic coding operating model leveraging MCP/LLMs for AI-assisted coding.
Details
- Remote role based in India (Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Maharashtra, or Delhi).
- May require occasional travel for in-person meetings.
