Manager - Software Engineering

Overview

Hands-on Engineering Manager leading a team of software engineers to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality healthcare applications in an AI-first environment.

What you'll do

• Lead and develop a team of 4-8 software engineers.
• Drive sprint execution and delivery commitments.
• Partner with Product Managers, QA, and platform teams to deliver business outcomes.
• Contribute to system design and architecture discussions.
• Guide implementation of Java/Spring Boot microservices and React-based applications.
• Promote responsible adoption of AI development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Windsurf).
• Ensure predictable delivery using CI/CD, automated testing, and release management.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 1+ years of people leadership/team lead/engineering management experience.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Experience building and supporting React-based applications.
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems and event-driven architecture (Kafka or equivalent).
• Experience with SQL databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Strong troubleshooting and production support skills.
