Overview

Full Stack Python Developer role at Barclays focused on designing, developing, and improving high-quality software solutions, working across the full development lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Design and deliver software solutions using industry-aligned languages, frameworks, and tools.
• Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure integration.
• Participate in code reviews and promote code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Adhere to secure coding practices and implement unit testing.
• Work end-to-end on applications and services from backend APIs and data layers to frontends.
• Implement CI/CD and support production operations for application reliability.

What you'll need

• Experience with building and maintaining end-to-end applications and services.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience with React frameworks (FastAPI, Django, REST Framework) and JDBC/ODBC.
• Experience with async programming using FastAPI.
• Experience with version control and CI/CD tools (GitLab) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
