Overview
Geotechnical Engineer role supporting hydro and dam projects through design inputs, analysis, reviews, reporting, and site inspections.
What you'll do
- Coordinate with geology, geotechnical, and other teams to discuss technical matters and solutions.
- Contribute to dam design and analysis across design and review stages.
- Prepare geotechnical interpretative reports and geotechnical design reports.
- Manage day-to-day geotechnical design work.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess site conditions.
- Review design assumptions and develop workable geotechnical design solutions.
- Perform detailed review and implement quality control measures.
What you'll need
- Experience with geotechnical design input, assessment, and review activities (no specific years stated).
- Ability to prepare and update a geotechnical model using geological site mapping and site investigation data.
- Experience supporting pre-feasibility, feasibility studies, tender design, and detailed design phases.
- Ability to collaborate with multicultural teams on project documents, study/design reports, technical specifications, and drawings.
- Experience providing technical input for infrastructure projects including hydropower and dam, tunnel and underground, and geo-hazards work.
- Ability to liaise with Project Manager, lead designers, contract manager, and senior geotechnical engineer on changed conditions.
