Global Category Manager

Overview

Global Category Manager role in the Global Indirect Sourcing & Procurement team, owning category procurement activities to acquire inventory cost-effectively and on time.

What you'll do

• Review and analyze purchase requisitions.
• Process purchase requisitions, purchase change orders, and requests for quotes (RFQs) to suppliers.
• Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning, and engineering departments.
• Perform cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities.
• Monitor subcontract cost, schedule, and scope to negotiate best value and quality.
• Develop and execute category strategies, including cost-saving proposals and sourcing alternatives.
• Develop statements of work (SOWs) and manage the contract lifecycle through renewal and compliance tracking.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle) and e-sourcing tools.
• Skills in procurement reporting and analysis of management information.
• Experience identifying and mitigating supplier risk, including single-source dependencies, financial instability, and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with AI-powered procurement and spend analytics tools (OAS, OBIEE, Tableau).
