Overview
GRC Engineer bridging governance, risk, and compliance with engineering to embed GRC into DevOps practices and enable continuous, scalable assurance.
What you'll do
- Work with operational units to understand challenges, constraints, and needs before implementing control requirements.
- Use systems thinking to determine how controls operate across processes, platforms, and teams.
- Design and embed GRC practices into system and process development from inception.
- Translate GRC requirements into practical solutions with stakeholders while maintaining operational velocity.
- Analyse delivery workflows to identify systemic risk, operational complexity, and value leakage.
- Architect reusable control patterns and implement real-time risk/control telemetry using data pipelines, APIs, and analytics platforms.
- Implement governance for AI-enabled systems, including model lifecycle controls and human-in-the-loop assurance.
What you'll need
- 8+ years' experience in either a GRC background or a former engineering background (security, DevOps, platform, or similar).
- Systems thinking across business, technology, and risk.
- Structured problem-solving.
- Pragmatic controls design.
- Comfort operating in imperfect integration environments.
- Clear communication across deep-technical teams, non-technical stakeholders, and policy makers.

- Basic scripting or automation experience.
