Hydromechanical Engineer

Overview

Mechanical Engineer for AECOM’s Water business line, focused on designing and overseeing large-scale mechanical systems for water infrastructure projects.

What you'll do

• Design and develop large-scale mechanical systems for water infrastructure projects.
• Create 3D models using Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Revit, or other mechanical design software for design drawings.
• Size and select hoists, actuators, and associated waterworks mechanical systems.
• Conduct engineering calculations and analysis to ensure structural integrity and mechanical performance.
• Review and approve engineering drawings and vendor submittals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet codes, standards, and client requirements.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering program.
• 6+ years of relevant experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
• Professional Engineering licensure in the United States or ability to obtain licensure within two years.
• Ability to travel a few times a year for site visits and meetings with clients.
• Experience using Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Revit, or other 3D design tools.
