Job description

Overview

Provide end-to-end program leadership for Cardiovascular Ultrasound Installed Base initiatives, based in India, partnering with global stakeholders to translate customer, patient, quality, regulatory, service, supply-chain and business priorities into integrated execution plans.

What you'll do

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of assigned CVUS Installed Base programs across the post-launch product lifecycle.
  • Define program scope, outcomes, milestones, deliverables, resources, dependencies, decision points and operating cadence.
  • Create and maintain an integrated execution plan across Engineering, Systems, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Service, Finance and Product Management.
  • Build and manage a transparent IB backlog, facilitating prioritization based on patient and customer impact, safety, regulatory commitments, product quality, service burden, fulfilment, lifecycle urgency, cost and resource availability.
  • Drive cross-functional execution for customer complaints and investigations, product quality issues, corrective actions, CAPA, SCR/SPR, CSO, FMI or field actions, CCN and standards updates, cybersecurity updates, product holds and recovery actions, as applicable.
  • Lead sustaining execution for design changes, supplier or component changes, obsolescence, component end-of-life, continuity of supply and product lifecycle or end-of-life activities.
  • Ensure effective transition from NPI into Installed Base support, with clear ownership of residual risks, sustaining commitments and field-readiness actions.
  • Lead program reviews and relevant Heartbeat operating mechanisms; maintain concise dashboards covering milestones, backlog, risks, dependencies, resources, budget, customer and quality actions, and decisions.
  • Actively manage program budgets, purchase orders, forecasts and actuals in partnership with budget owners and Finance.
  • Maintain resource and capacity visibility, surface constraints early, and facilitate cross-functional trade-off and allocation decisions.
  • Identify and mitigate program, quality, regulatory, supply, resource, schedule and implementation risks before they affect customers or commitments.
  • Escalate unresolved issues with a clear problem statement, customer and business impact, options and a recommended course of action.
  • Provide clear, fact-based communication to India, Horten and broader CVUS leadership, with documented decisions, owners and closure dates.
  • Apply Lean and continuous-improvement principles to simplify IB execution, improve predictability and standardize effective program-management practices.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or institution.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in engineering, program management, product development, sustaining engineering or product-lifecycle leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, global, cross-functional program in a matrix organization.
  • Proven ability to convert complex technical, quality, regulatory and business issues into integrated, executable program plans.
  • Strong program-management capability across scope, schedule, milestones, risk, resources, budget, dependencies, decisions and stakeholder communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive accountable closure without direct reporting authority.
  • Experience managing multiple competing priorities, urgent field or business issues and ambiguity with limited direction.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including concise program reviews and escalation to senior leadership.
  • Ability to work effectively across India, Europe and other global locations and time zones.

Nice to have

  • Experience in regulated medical devices, healthcare technology or another highly regulated product environment.
  • Working knowledge of medical-device design controls, complaints, CAPA, field actions, product risk management, regulatory compliance, design changes, running VCP programs and lifecycle or end-of-life processes.
  • Experience with diagnostic ultrasound, imaging systems, electromechanical medical equipment or comparable complex hardware and software products.
  • Experience leading sustaining releases, supplier and component changes, obsolescence, continuity-of-supply or product-quality improvement programs.
  • Financial-management experience covering program budgets, forecasts, purchase orders, external spend and actuals.
  • Lean or continuous improvement experience focused on reducing hand-offs, delays and execution variability.
  • Experience using portfolio or program-management systems, operational dashboards and data-driven reviews to support decisions.

Details

  • Based in India (Bengaluru, EPIP 122 Phase II).
  • Relocation assistance: not provided.
