IT Cyber Defense Analyst

Overview

IT Cyber Defense/SOC Analyst role focused on continuous security monitoring, alert triage, and initial investigation of security events, with escalation and incident handover to the Incident Response team.

What you'll do

• Monitor security alerts from multiple security tools and platforms across the organization.
• Triage alerts to identify false positives versus genuine security threats.
• Perform preliminary analysis to assess the nature, scope, and severity of security events.
• Document alert analysis, investigation steps, and findings in the incident management/ticketing system.
• Escalate validated and complex incidents to the Shift Lead or Incident Response team.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting using threat intelligence, IOCs, and TTPs.

What you'll need

• Hands-on SOC tool experience with SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, or email security platforms.
• Basic knowledge of networking and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
• Basic knowledge of cloud environments.
• Exposure to MITRE ATT&CK frameworks.
• Relevant certifications or actively pursuing: CompTIA Security+, CEH Blue Team Level 1 (BTL1), SC-200 (or equivalent).

• Exposure to MITRE ATT&CK frameworks.
