Overview
Java Development Lead (VP) in Software Engineering for Morgan Stanley Investment Management Technology, supporting global trade and fund service platforms.
What you'll do
- Lead the design, development, and testing of multi-tier systems and components for trade flow platforms.
- Provide trade flow support for Asian and European markets.
- Own platform responsibilities including Trade Service Layer (TSL), ETF Fund Service, and TWMS.
- Collaborate in strategic discussions with business stakeholders.
- Lead a small developer team to deliver projects.
- Maintain and grow technical knowledge accessible to team members and clients.
- Support team members by listening to problems and helping remove obstacles.
What you'll need
- 8+ years strong development experience in Java (8+) and Spring Boot.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript and advanced frameworks such as React and/or Angular.
- Strong knowledge of Microservices/Service Oriented Architecture and RESTful services.
- SQL expertise, including writing optimized queries/stored procedures with a relational database.
- Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments.
- Experience with DevOps and Test Driven Development.
- Experience handling a team of 3–5 members for 3+ years.
