Junior Service Engineer

Overview

The Junior Service Engineer directs and performs maintenance activities to keep 4500 HP and 6000 HP locomotives maintained within timelines, cost, quality, and documentation requirements.

What you'll do

• Maintain scheduled, unscheduled, heavy maintenance, and wreck repair for locomotives.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed within timelines, cost, and quality targets.
• Maintain all appropriate documentation for maintenance work.
• Ensure adherence to work scopes.
• Encourage and maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and local customer safety policies.
• Work with customer employees to meet performance KPIs for the Gooty Shed.

What you'll need

• BE/B.Tech in engineering or Diploma applicable technical training.
• 7+ years applicable operations experience in maintenance of locomotives and/or transportation/rolling stock equipment.
• Willingness to work in 24x7 operations across different shifts and various days.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work in a shop environment.
• Prior experience in the transportation industry.
• Prior experience in operation and training of an HVT wheel turning machine.
