Laboratory Service Engineer 4

Overview

Laboratory Service Engineer responsible for maintaining and upgrading equipment in an applications lab, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration in an R&D environment.

What you'll do

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and calibrations on equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, and vacuum equipment.
• Ensure safe handling of hazardous gas and liquid materials using required PPE.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on R&D activities, customer demos, and supporting equipment.
• Install and provide support for prototype equipment, including developing procedures and documentation.
• Coordinate priorities across tasks and communicate proactively.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 8+ years of experience, or an associate degree (or equivalent military training) with 10+ years.

Nice to have

• Experience troubleshooting electrical, electro-mechanical, fluidic systems, and vacuum systems.
• Proficiency using hand tools and electronic test equipment for maintenance, repair, and assembly tasks.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment while wearing appropriate safety PPE/cleanroom suit.
• Semiconductor industry experience or understanding of Lam products.
