Lead Control Engineer

Overview

Lead controls engineering for solar and battery energy storage system projects, covering controls software, hardware configuration, systems integration, validation, commissioning, and customer delivery.

What you'll do

• Deliver controls software validation and project-specific software.
• Support FAT, SAT, HIL, startup, integration, and commissioning activities.
• Design control hardware configurations and industrial communication networks.
• Track controls deliverables and complete projects on schedule and with quality.
• Resolve issues in new and installed products and drive performance improvements.
• Prepare installation, commissioning, operations, and training documentation.
• Conduct controls design, code reviews, testing, and software validation.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of experience developing and implementing control software.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical, electronic, instrumentation, or controls engineering.
• Experience with PLC, DCS, SCADA, SQL, and MATLAB Simulink.
• Familiarity with OPC-UA, Modbus, EGD, Profibus, CAN bus, IEC 61850, and IEC 104.
• Experience with grid code compliance and power generation industries.
• Experience in controls or systems integration and field engineering.
• Strong technical communication, problem analysis, and resolution skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with GE MarkVIe, Toolbox ST, Workstation ST, Cimplicity, or P80i.
• Knowledge of power conversion systems and controls.
• Experience mentoring and guiding teams.
