Lead Data Engineer, ITC

Overview

Lead and build data engineering tooling for Nike’s Consumer Product & Innovation (CP&I) community within Global Technology.

What you’ll do

• Lead a team of engineers building tooling for CP&I team members.
• Develop modular, configurable, API-first capabilities for modern web applications.
• Coordinate with other teams to achieve organizational and technical goals.
• Provide guidance and coaching to more junior team members.
• Deliver data services supporting data modeling, ETL development, and data streaming.
• Build and expose APIs using REST/GraphQL for data services.

What you’ll need

• 8+ years of hands-on industry data engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or similar field, or relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proficiency in SQL, Spark, and Python.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, AWS, and Snowflake.
• Experience with AWS products including Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and S3.
• Demonstrated expertise in Java and understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience with React, Vue.js, or Angular for data visualization dashboards.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and architectural design patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD and leading teams with DevOps responsibilities for production deployment and support.
• Experience implementing and integrating AI/ML and related data solutions.
