Lead Engineer - Test Automation & Tools Development

Overview

Lead Testing Tools Development Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced testing frameworks and automation tools.

What you'll do

• Design and implement custom test automation frameworks for functional, performance, and security testing.
• Create reusable libraries, plugins, and CLI tools to support test execution, reporting, and CI/CD integration.
• Build scalable test harnesses for distributed systems, microservices, mobile native, and cloud SaaS applications.
• Automate test workflows using Java and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Integrate testing tools with Git, Jenkins, Harness, and artifact repositories.
• Containerize tools with Docker and orchestrate test environments using Kubernetes.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of experience in Quality Engineering and tools development (or similar).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong programming skills in Java for tooling and automation.
• Proficiency with open-source testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Postman/Bruno, JMeter, OWASP ZAP, and Burp Suite.
• Experience integrating testing tools with Test Management & issue tracking tools like Jira and Qmetry.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines including Jenkins, Harness, ArgoCD, GitLab, and SonarQube.
• Hands-on cloud platform experience including GCP and expertise in Kubernetes; proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
