Lead Java Spark and Big Data Developer - Vice President

Overview

Senior-level Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst role responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team, leading applications systems analysis and programming activities.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and support applications using Java Spark.
• Build scalable APIs and integration solutions.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain application performance.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Mentor team members and provide technical leadership.
• Drive automation, modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll need

• 13-17 years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
• Strong expertise in Java Spark, Microservices, and REST APIs.
• Experience with SQL databases and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Git, JIRA, Confluence, and CI/CD tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring developers.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.

• Big Data technologies.
• Knowledge of AI/GenAI, automation, or modern engineering practices.
• Experience in financial services or other regulated industries.
