Overview
Lead Manufacturing Process Engineer responsible for technical leadership across manufacturing process engineering and manufacturing test automation for complex medical equipment.
What you'll do
- Own and lead manufacturing engineering for New Product Introductions (NPI) and manufacturing transfers.
- Develop, implement, qualify, and continuously improve manufacturing processes and test equipment.
- Design, develop, and improve manufacturing automation systems, including test equipment and Special Purpose Machines (SPMs).
- Lead troubleshooting, root cause investigations, and failure analysis for manufacturing and testing issues.
- Own process qualification and validation for manufacturing processes, assembly tooling, automation systems, and testing equipment.
- Drive factory/production/field quality improvements using structured problem-solving and Defects Per Unit (DPU) reduction initiatives.
What you'll need
- 6+ years of relevant experience in process/manufacturing engineering, advanced manufacturing engineering, test engineering, or automation engineering.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Robotics & Automation, or Electrical/Electrical & Electronics.
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing/process development, equipment development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
- Hands-on experience with test equipment automation and automated manufacturing/testing systems.
- Exposure to Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) including development, implementation, operation, integration, or troubleshooting.
- Practical understanding of electromechanical components and control systems (e.g., servo motors, encoders, sensors, electrical/electronic circuits).
- Knowledge of NI hardware programming or comparable equipment control systems for automated machine/test functions.
