Overview
Lead the modernization, automation, and reliability of large-scale global network infrastructure as the top technical authority for network automation.
What you'll do
- Design and implement Network-as-Code (NaC), Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and GitOps solutions to eliminate manual deployments.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for network infrastructure with automated testing, validation, approval gates, and security/compliance checks.
- Design, deploy, and support Kubernetes networking architectures including Calico, OVN, and VXLAN overlays.
- Lead enterprise network architecture modernization and reviews across routing, data center networking, multi-site routing, and high availability.
- Act as Tier-4 escalation engineer for complex network incidents and advanced troubleshooting of hybrid environments.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and drive remediation and continuous improvement for reliability and scalability.
- Automate Security-as-Code validation and enforcement prior to production deployments.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of experience in Network Automation, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), or Platform Engineering.
- Hands-on expertise with Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
- Hands-on experience with GitOps concepts and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Expert knowledge of BGP, OSPF, data center networking, and overlay/underlay network architectures.
- Experience designing and operating Kubernetes networking (Calico, OVN, VXLAN, Kubernetes CNI).
- Working knowledge of Cisco IOS (Nexus OS preferred) and hands-on routing/switching experience (e.g., Cisco Nexus).
- Troubleshooting and analytical skills supporting production enterprise environments.
Nice to have
- Experience with telecommunications technologies including SIP, RTP, Session Border Controllers (SBC), SIP trunking, and VoIP architectures.
- Knowledge of Linux networking including network namespaces, virtual interfaces, eBPF, and iptables.
- Experience implementing Telemetry-as-Code and proactive monitoring solutions.
- Experience with cloud networking, infrastructure modernization, or large-scale network transformation initiatives.
