Job description

Overview

Hands-on Lead QA Engineer role based in Bangalore, India, focused on manual and automation testing for web, desktop and mobile applications, with mentoring responsibilities for the QA team.

What you'll do

Develop and execute test cases across web, desktop and mobile applications.
Plan test efforts, oversee test data requirements and execution of test cases.
Monitor first-level triage of defects and ensure thorough retesting through resolution.
Form future QA blueprints for applications with Product Owners, Dev and Business stakeholders.
Mentor QA team members in adopting the latest technologies.
Design and develop accurate and maintainable test cases.
Participate in requirements and design reviews, representing QA.
Design and build scalable automated test frameworks, libraries and test suites for regression testing.
Suggest improvements to processes, best practices and standards.
Report timely project status to Project and Delivery Stakeholders.

What you'll need

Minimum 6+ years of QA experience in test case design, prototyping, developing and executing test cases.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related subject.
Proficiency in Java, JavaScript or Python and Object-Oriented Design.
Experience using Selenium, SOAP/REST API web services testing, Postman or other automation tools.
Experience with BDD, TDD, DevOps and CI/CD enablement processes such as Git and Jenkins.
Experience within an Agile/Scrum/Kanban environment.
Experience in use of commercial cloud service infrastructures (e.g. Azure, AWS).
Proficient in testing web, client-server, infrastructure, business process, mobile and desktop applications.
Strong communication, logical reasoning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
