Lead Software Engineer

Overview

Lead Software Engineer responsible for building and maintaining a Data Lake platform that ingests and processes millions of documents annually.

What you'll do

• Develop new features and support continuous improvement of existing Data Lake systems.
• Optimize SQL queries to improve platform efficiency and performance.
• Build and maintain solutions across Python, Frontend, and C#/.NET repositories.
• Create design documents for major architectural changes and facilitate peer reviews.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and propose solutions.
• Estimate development tasks and align priorities with engineering leadership.
• Provide weekly On Call support for urgent issues and system queries.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of software development experience focused on large-scale data operations.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• In-depth understanding of data structures and algorithms for performance optimization.
• Strong object-oriented design principles.
• Proficiency in Python, AWS, Frontend, and C#/.NET.
• Experience with non-relational databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB, Elasticsearch).
• Experience working with APIs and system integration.
