Lead Software Engineer/Java Full Stack

Overview

Lead Software Engineer (Java Full Stack) to design and build modern, cloud-native enterprise applications, including REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven solutions.

What you'll do

• Lead design, development, and deployment of full stack solutions for customer communications on AWS cloud-native architectures.
• Architect and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven/agentic solutions to replace legacy systems.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with stakeholders to improve customer engagement and operations.
• Ensure code quality using code reviews, test-driven development, and continuous integration.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote technical excellence and innovation.
• Drive adoption of GenAI tools, automation, and DevOps best practices for modernization.
• Maintain application stability, security, and performance in a cloud-first environment.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of hands-on full stack software development experience, including cloud migration and modernization.
• Strong Java (Spring Boot) and JavaScript/TypeScript experience.
• Experience with Python and front-end frameworks (Angular/React).
• Strong AWS experience including Lambda, ECS, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, SNS, SQS, and EventBridge.
• Expertise in designing and consuming REST/SOAP APIs, microservices, and integrating with vendor systems.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools including GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, Terraform, Rally, and SonarQube.
• Agile/Scrum methodology familiarity and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
