Lead Specialist R2D GES Finance ANH

Overview

Lead Specialist for GES Finance R2D (Record to Deliver) at dsm-firmenich, serving as point of contact for a specific legal entity or unit for month-end and quarter-end close, intercompany activities and internal control.

What you'll do

• Ensure timely closure of books within the designated timelines identified in the FCC (Financial Closing Cockpit).
• Support Financial Controllers (FC) in coordinating with sub-ledger teams.
• Align with FC and the GES R2D team on intercompany activities, including creation of purchase requisitions and sales orders.
• Open and close ledgers and sub-ledgers.
• Reconcile ledgers and sub-ledgers.
• Execute month-end activities.
• Process manual journal entries, including rectification entries.
• Develop accounting period-end timetables and closing schedules according to Name Business/Service Unit policy and Corporate Control & Accounting (CCA) timetables.
• Obtain approval for accounting period-end timetables according to Name Business/Service Unit approval hierarchy.
• Clear intercompany accounts that are out of balance.
• Distribute accounting period-end timetables according to Name Business/Service Unit policy guidelines.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations, including General Ledger research and other balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support preparation of standard and ad hoc management reports through information verification, proofreading, assembly and related activities.
• Update Group Reporting and consolidation sets in Group Reporting.
• Collect budget and forecasting data.
• Enter budget numbers into SAP.
• Ensure compliance with DSM-Firmenich internal control requirements.
• Monitor the internal control framework on a monthly basis and follow up on remediation plans.
• Support the external audit process.
