Overview
Legal Counsel role focused on drafting and managing a wide range of legal and commercial agreements, supporting statutory compliance, and advising on disputes and risk mitigation.
What you'll do
- Draft and review legal and commercial agreements, including negotiation and closing.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel, advisors, and consultants for commercial transactions and advisories.
- Advise internal stakeholders on general statutory compliances and manage disputes, including drafting/responding to legal notices.
- Support development and administration of contract-related systems and processes to ensure legal and policy alignment.
- Lead changes in contract processes, including creation of templates and tools for multiple agreement types.
- Provide legal and risk mitigation advisories and compliance support across security, government compliance, finance, privacy, and regulatory affairs.
What you'll need
- Qualified law graduate from India.
- Approximately 4-7 years of professional experience.
- Preference for candidates with both in-house and law firm experience.
- Prior legal support experience for engineering, IT, and internet-based organizations (especially ad-tech/tech) is preferred.
- Preference for familiarity with SaaS contracts, commercial and employment laws, and global practices (particularly in APAC).
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and professional integrity.
- Proficient communication skills with ability to handle matters independently.
