Associate, Legal Counsel - APAC

Overview

Associate Legal Counsel for the APAC Legal & Compliance team, supporting Blackstone’s APAC real estate business.

What you'll do

• Review and negotiate engagement letters, service agreements, works/consultancy contracts, NDAs, and commercial contracts.
• Review corporate secretarial and funding documents for investment structures and corporate actions.
• Coordinate Singapore investment committee and board meetings, including liaising with external counsel and finalizing minutes.
• Track, monitor, and safekeep commercial contracts and template legal documents.
• Administer APAC compliance controls for material non-public information (MNPI), including maintaining MNPI insider tracker and access segregation.
• Create/update standard operating procedures (SOP) and support legal operations and special projects.

What you'll need

• Bachelor of Law degree from a reputable university (Second Upper Class honours and above).
• At least 4 years of hands-on legal experience.
• Minimum of 2 years gained in a law firm or private practice.
• Ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts independently.
• Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and an ethical mindset.
• Comfort working both independently and as part of a team.
