Manager Finance and Accounts, Bangalore

Overview

Manager – Accounting and Controlling, responsible for operating expense accounting and forecasting, direct tax and banking operations, and supervision of a two-member accounts payable team, reporting to the Director Finance within the India Finance team.

What you'll do

• Manage operating expense accounting, including payroll accounting, to support accurate month-end financial reporting.
• Manage month-end close activities for operating expenses and analyse variances to explain expense movements.
• Prepare operating expense forecasts to support expense planning and control.
• Manage cross-charges for hosted functions and the related accounting.
• Supervise a two-member accounts payable team responsible for end-to-end accounts payable activities.
• Manage direct tax calculations and payments, including tax deducted at source (TDS) and advance tax, and prepare related corporate tax workings and reporting.
• Manage banking operations in support of the India Finance team's accounting and payment activities.

What you'll need

• Minimum of 7 years of experience.
• Proficiency in accounting and financial reporting applications.

Nice to have

• Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.
• Prior industry experience.
• Experience with SAP and Oracle.
• Previous experience in operating expense and payroll accounting, month-end close, forecasting or variance analysis.
• Previous experience in accounts payable, direct tax or banking operations.
