Overview
Manager, Intellectual Property to join Azurity’s expanding IP team. You will conduct IP analyses, support patent strategy and risk management, and help protect the company’s pipeline across global markets.
What you'll do
- Conduct IP due diligence to support product selection, licensing, M&A, and strategic partnerships.
- Monitor competitor activities, brand pipelines, patent expiry timelines, and ongoing clinical trials for portfolio planning.
- Prepare patent landscapes and perform whitespace analyses across global markets to identify IP barriers and opportunities.
- Perform prior art searches, patentability assessments, and freedom-to-operate (FTO) evaluations.
- Draft, file, and prosecute patent applications and provide scientific/technical input to attorneys.
- Support the Legal team on patent litigations and assess potential impact, including U.S. matters.
What you'll need
- An advanced degree in Pharmacy or a related scientific discipline.
- 8–10 years of relevant intellectual property experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably focused on formulations.
- Deep understanding of global patent systems and procedures, including Indian, US, EP, and PCT.
- Demonstrated expertise in patent analysis, drafting, prosecution, and litigation support.
- Hands-on experience with patent filing, prosecution, and infringement/invalidity analysis.
- Strong familiarity with FTO analysis and Orange Book navigation.
