Manager, Production Site Reliability Engineering

Overview

Lead a new Production Site Reliability Engineering team responsible for the availability, performance, operability, and re-architecture of the production control plane supporting customer-facing applications and internal platforms.

What you'll do

• Build, hire, mentor, and lead a team of SREs and database engineers.
• Own production web-stack availability, performance, and operability.
• Lead incident response, postmortems, runbooks, and system improvements.
• Drive monitoring, alerting, observability, configuration management, and capacity planning.
• Lead control-plane infrastructure re-architecture, parallel runs, validation, and cutover.
• Manage database replication, caching, backup verification, and failover testing.
• Set operational standards through SLOs, disaster recovery planning, and operational reviews.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of professional experience in SRE or infrastructure operations.
• At least 2 years in a team lead or management role.
• Experience operating production web stacks at scale and debugging full request paths.
• Strong Linux systems knowledge, including networking, systemd, package management, firewalls, and performance tuning.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, observability, and configuration management at scale.
• Experience hiring engineering teams and managing database replication, backups, and failover.
• Experience leading production migrations or major infrastructure transitions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Harvester or similar HCI platforms, Redis, HAProxy, keepalived, PCI environments, PHP, or Cloudflare.

Details

• Remote in the United States.
• Compensation: $140,000–$160,000.
