Manufacturing Process Engineer

Overview

Develop, validate, improve, and sustain manufacturing processes in a regulated manufacturing environment. The role supports product quality, compliance, operational efficiency, safety, and new product introduction.

What you'll do

• Develop and validate manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, fixtures, and test methods.
• Conduct PFMEA risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Create SOPs, work instructions, process specifications, and training materials.
• Investigate deviations, non-conformances, complaints, and CAPA activities.
• Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving methods.
• Support NPI through design for manufacturability, process planning, tooling, and readiness activities.
• Lead engineering and manufacturing changes while coordinating cross-functional execution.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of manufacturing, process engineering, or process improvement experience in regulated manufacturing.
• Experience with process validation, PFMEA, process capability, and statistical analysis tools.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, including 5S, Kaizen, and Poka-Yoke.
• Experience with DMAIC, 5 Why, and Fishbone Analysis.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to train and mentor manufacturing teams while managing multiple priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience in medical device or highly regulated manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and statistical process control.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers, technicians, or manufacturing personnel.
• Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
