MEAN Stack Developer

Overview

Mean Stack Developer role involving complex web-app development, maintenance, debugging, and leading engineering practices like code reviews and systems design.

What you'll do

• Develop, maintain, and debug complex application code.
• Create and run unit tests for assigned work.
• Prepare technical documentation across multiple lifecycle phases.
• Lead code reviews and develop engineering standards across the lifecycle.
• Lead systems design efforts addressing security, performance, data integrity, and scalability.
• Review key requirements deliverables to ensure a functionally sound product definition.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure the test strategy covers all project aspects.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of JavaScript/TypeScript experience at expert level.
• Experience building and maintaining complex single-page web-apps with modern JS frameworks/libraries (AngularJS, React, Vue.js).
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SCSS.
• Experience with RESTful web services and/or microservices (Node.js, Express).
• Strong Node.js development experience.
• Working knowledge of agile, CI, test-driven development, and Git version control.
• Experience with Docker under Linux or OSX.

Nice to have

• Cloud experience (AWS, azure).
• Practical use of AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code).
• Experience with NoSQL or multi-value (PICK) databases.
• 10+ years of software industry experience with product design, architecture, or support (or equivalent).
• Experience with legacy modernization.
• Mentoring developers.
• HCM domain knowledge.
