About the Job

We are hiring a Medical Coder (Fresher) for a Full-time, OnSite role. In this position, you will support accurate and timely coding of diagnoses and procedures by translating clinical documentation into standardized medical codes. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals to build a strong foundation in medical coding workflows, compliance, and healthcare documentation. You will work closely with clinical and billing teams to ensure coding accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established guidelines.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Review medical documentation and assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and related services.
• Apply medical terminology, clinical understanding, and coding guidelines to ensure coding accuracy.
• Validate codes for completeness and consistency, identifying missing or unclear information when required.
• Maintain organized coding records and support internal documentation standards.
• Participate in quality checks by cross-verifying assigned codes and addressing discrepancies.
• Follow compliance practices and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to resolve coding-related queries and improve documentation clarity.
• Continuously learn through training resources and feedback to strengthen coding proficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Anatomy and Pathology basics.
• Good working knowledge of Life Sciences concepts and how they relate to clinical documentation.
• Excellent medical terminology skills, including ability to interpret clinical notes.
• Fundamental grasp of coding principles and willingness to learn standardized coding practices.
• Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and data integrity.
• Ability to work in an OnSite environment and follow defined processes.
• Good communication skills to ask clarifying questions and collaborate effectively with teams.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance in all tasks.
