ML AI Platform Engineer

Overview

Engineer on the ML Platform team supporting Visa's internal AI platform, which is used by ML developers to train models, run experiments, execute AI workloads and develop agents.

What you'll do

• Resolve customer issues and respond to queries to ensure a smooth experience on the platform.
• Perform monthly RCA, identify improvement actions and minimize recurring issues on the platform.
• Understand industry trends and design, enhance and improve/optimize ML platform solutions for model training and agent development.

What you'll need

• Minimum 5 years of Python development experience.
• Very strong hands-on development skills in Python, including debugging, performance optimization, and backend/system-level programming.
• Good understanding of tensors, tensor operations, memory layout, and execution fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with at least one distributed computing framework such as Apache Spark or Ray.
• Strong understanding of operating systems, processes, threads, memory management, concurrency, and parallel computing.
• Understanding of CPU, GPU, and AI accelerator fundamentals, including how compute workloads use hardware resources.

• Location: Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Gurugram or Chennai, India.
• Hybrid: 2 days a week from office.
