OT Network Specialist

Overview

Join the central Operations Applications & Infrastructure team as an OT Network Specialist, responsible for developing, monitoring, configuring, maintaining and supporting Alfa Laval's OT network infrastructure, working together with the team in Sweden.

What you'll do

• Configure, install and integrate Cisco network switches (Cisco 9500, 9300, 9200), Cisco firewalls (FPR1120), Rockwell switches (Stratix 5400, 5700, 5800) and other network devices.
• Monitor network performance and integrity.
• Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade the company's networks using, among other tools, the Ansible management platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, implement security measures, and proactively optimize network performance.
• Handle day-to-day LAN connectivity.
• Resolve issues escalated from tiers of support by troubleshooting global and local infrastructure.
• Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
• Mentor team members on technical issues.
• Communicate with users when needed.
• Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability.
• Contribute to development tasks as part of the central Agile team.

What you'll need

• Graduate, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• CCNA or CCNP certification.
• Excellent communication skills; communication, collaboration, and curiosity are a must.
• Proficiency in Cisco and Ansible.
• Experience with Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Operational Technology (OT) networks, and micro-segmentation.
• Familiarity with IEC 62443 standards for Industrial Automation and Control Systems (IACS).
• In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF).
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools).
• Sharp troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness and eagerness to learn new systems and technology.
• Great at organizing, mentoring, prioritizing and multitasking.
• Experience with ITIL.
• Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator.
• Professional certification (e.g. CCNA, CCNP).
• Solid background in network administration and architecture.
• Solid understanding of network management (Cisco IOS).
• Experience managing equipment through Ansible.
• Monitoring network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and testing for weaknesses.
• Hands-on experience in networking, routing and switching.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• 10+ years of experience.

Nice to have

• Cisco Firewall and FMC knowledge.
• Experience with proxy servers (Squid proxy, IIS reverse proxy) and Claroty "Secure Remote Access".

Details

• Location: Pune.
• Working time: 24x7 shifts on a rotation basis.
• Working days: 5 days a week (3 days work from office, 2 days work from home).
• Works 24/5 together with the team in Sweden.
