Overview

Join the Material Group as a Purchasing Account Team Buyer, managing supplier operational aspects to support Applied Materials' semiconductor equipment tools worldwide.

What you'll do

• Manage supplier operations, including forecasts and POs, FGIs, ECOs, obsolete material, MRP actions, transitions, repairs, service agreements, and OTD.
• Coordinate and drive purchasing activities with planning and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels.
• Lead supplier quality activities in collaboration with manufacturing and engineering departments.
• Expedite escalations to ensure timely receipt of materials.
• Practice management without authority.
• Lead problem resolution for material-related accounting and receiving issues.
• Provide input to management regarding suppliers and material status, action plans, and long-term issues.

What you'll need

• Engineering education (mandatory); Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field preferred.
• More than 6 years of experience in purchasing (mandatory).
• SAP MM expertise (mandatory).
• Knowledge of working with office systems, especially Excel.
• Ability to work and deal with many information systems.
• Service-oriented, with experience working with suppliers and internal customers.
• Independent, team player with high negotiation skills.
• High-level English (writing, speaking and reading).
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Program management experience.
• Commercial orientation.
• Excellent problem-solving ability.
• Great interpersonal skills.
