PDE CEM Engineer

Overview

PDE CEM Senior/Staff Process Development Engineer responsible for developing and optimizing packaging assembly processes and improving yield, quality, reliability, and process capabilities for high-volume manufacturing.

What you'll do

• Own process development activities including Process of Record (POR), process windows, and capability (CPK).
• Drive NPI qualification with first-pass success.
• Apply DOE, SPC, and Six Sigma to characterize and optimize assembly processes.
• Lead problem solving using RCA, FMEA, OCAP, and structured resolution to improve yield and reliability.
• Use AI/ML and analytics for yield prediction, early excursion detection, predictive process control, and anomaly detection.
• Develop control plans, quality metrics, and capability monitoring systems and guide process teams for safe operations.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of semiconductor process development / backend assembly experience.
• Master’s or PhD in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong expertise in assembly processes and packaging integration.
• Experience with DOE, SPC, FMEA, RCA, and Six Sigma.
• Statistical analysis using JMP or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of data analytics / machine learning fundamentals.
• Exposure to Python or SQL (or analytics tools) is preferred.
