People Director

Overview

People Director role with DoorDash India focused on Hyderabad site people strategy and day-to-day HR business partnering with site leaders and employees.

What you'll do

• Partner daily with site and functional leaders on team effectiveness, manager support, and performance concerns.
• Support employee engagement, workplace culture, team health, and manager consistency.
• Help leaders and employees navigate new processes, changing structures, and operating model changes.
• Manage sensitive employee relations matters, including investigations and escalations.
• Coordinate and prioritize the work of two Human Resources Generalists.
• Use people data to identify risks and improve day-to-day execution and site people practices.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of progressive experience in a People Business Partner, HR Business Partner, or comparable role.
• Hands-on people support experience in a high-growth, site-based, operations-focused, or multi-shift environment.
• Applied knowledge of employee relations, sensitive investigations, policy administration, and employment compliance in India.
• Experience coaching managers and supporting succession planning, talent processes, workforce planning, employee engagement, and organizational change.
• Ability to work fully onsite in Hyderabad during a night shift (5:00 p.m.–2:00 a.m. or 6:00 p.m.–3:00 a.m.).
