Principal Data Scientist

Overview

Principal Data Scientist to lead the technical development and launch of MiQ's Planning Agent, a GenAI-powered agentic AI product, as part of a focused, fully dedicated engagement.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with the development team to enhance the usability and technical capability of the Planning Agent in alignment with the overall product requirement.
• Identify and qualify technical business opportunities, address key technical objections, and develop strategies to resolve technical blockers.
• Provide agentic AI expertise to support the technical development of MiQ's Planning Agent product.
• Design detailed technical requirements, create compelling demos and proof-of-concept work, and partner with Product to prioritise and implement optimal technical solutions.
• Lead and design integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure to implement a unified and seamless user experience across various MiQ products.
• Lead and drive the technical implementation of the Planning Agent's orchestration framework, respective data model integration, and the overall strategy for scaling the solution from MVP to a robust production system.
• Lead the technical development and integration of advanced features such as Knowledge Graphs, guided prompting techniques, and TAU integration.
• Provide technical expertise to enhance the overall efficiency, speed and relevancy of the Planning Agent's response, ensuring structured output aligned with specific business contexts.
• Gather insights into business challenges and user feedback from end users (Product, Account Managers, Traders, Sales, Analysts) to propose solutions and features for enhanced user experience.
• Collaborate with Technology Managers to foster technical excellence in product development, ensuring robust, proven, scalable, data science-driven, and high-impact solutions.
• Lead the technical strategy and execution of data science initiatives that deliver significant impact across interdependent product lines.
• Elevate the technical capabilities of the data science team by driving the adoption of advanced methodologies and best practices.
• Ensure the rigor, quality, and ethical integrity of data science outputs across all product domains.
• Accelerate the experimentation of data science applications by developing rapid POC/MVP to drive business impact.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 10 years of work experience using data science to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
• Experience translating product and business questions into clearly framed investigative projects, extracting and manipulating large datasets, and applying statistical methods.
• Experience with building AI and machine learning solutions, Machine Learning Operation frameworks, and leveraging specific ML architectures.
• Experience architecting and developing agentic solutions for scalable, distributed systems and with ML technologies.
• Experience in driving a research-driven approach to develop agentic architectures, in alignment with external advancements.
• Ability to learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the AI space.
• Ability to present to executives and communicate effectively with highly technical leadership teams.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously in a fluid environment.

• Experience in the advertising or ad-tech industry.
