Principal DevOps Engineer

Overview

Principal DevOps Engineer responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and automating development and testing environments, build/release tooling, and version control and artifact storage.

What you'll do

• Maintain integrated design environment tooling to support smooth code delivery through environments.
• Design, develop, and maintain test hardware/software for continuous regression testing.
• Support delivery of automated test equipment for Cubic hardware.
• Build and maintain build tools (build servers, code quality dashboards, static code analysis).
• Provide automated provisioning of applications and tooling to reduce setup time and ensure consistent configuration.
• Ensure development/release tools and applications are current for versions and license requirements, with safeguarded data integrity and cybersecurity.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of proven experience developing and maintaining software systems.
• 5+ years using Python3, including use of Virtual Environments.
• 5+ years using Docker and Jenkins.
• 5+ years managing Linux systems across different distributions.
• Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, Ruby and Rake.
• Tertiary qualification in an engineering/computer science/information systems or related technical discipline.
